Great base phone in the landline area

is smaller than a normal princess phone and therefore takes up less space. bright. I like a string so pulling the tube too hard doesn't pull the base off the table. The base is just a bracket - all the "work" in the tube. I like being able to mute the ringer in addition to adjusting the ringer volume. Basic, don't pay for features I don't use.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Failed cable: Office electronics

I haven't had enough time to comment on how well it works BUT it's such an odd little phone. The curly portion of the cord that goes to the headset doesn't attach to the base, but after a meal or so it becomes a straight cord that plugs into the phone jack. Nothing attaches to the stand (whose sole purpose seems to be to hold and hang the phone). Very strange. Cheap enough to live on.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can't remember

Inexpensive, adequate "stationary " phone.

Although this phone is inexpensive, this phone annoyed me when trying to figure out where to connect the other end of the cable. No, it is NOT included with the base of the phone. One end goes to the headset, the other to the wall outlet or modem. Maybe the consumer wouldn't have rated it so badly if it had been "clearly" explained. It deducted a "star" due to the annoyance factor, and yes, as soon as you get the "where" it fits into the landline.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Zero

Just what I needed

I live in rural Northern California, an area that sometimes becomes a third world country when the utility company indiscriminately shuts off power in the area. All day. Our regular landline is great, it has a lot of bells and whistles, but it needs a power source to work. The thin RCA 1103-1BKGA corded phone has one function - to make and receive calls without power. Just plug it into an outlet and it works. It's literally a lifeline when the power is off. The price was great too.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Disappear

Cheapest phone I could find for testing analog phone jacks

Although this phone is not for its intended use, I only bought this to connect a user in a remote office to the phone to have phone jacks on test beeps; on the cheap. The simplicity of the cable that goes from the handset to the wall socket makes it very easy to use and easy to move. This phone saved me the cost of an hour's flight plus travel or the cost of sending a third party to troubleshoot the line. Cannot confirm call quality or intended usage characteristics of the phone.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Crumpled

I just needed a backup for my cordless phone.

I recently switched to MagicJack from an ATT internet phone to save a lot of money. After about a month, I couldn't make any calls with my cordless phone, and when someone called me, they couldn't hear my voice. I spent hours on the phone (my cellphone) with MagicJack support before they finally said I had to try another phone. After buying this phone I was able to convince MagicJack that their device was the problem and they let me buy another one. So this phone works great with my new…

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Normal business phone.

This simple RCA phone only has one long cord. I did not measure the length of the unwound section as it is long enough for any standard phone setup. The rolled end is inserted into the handset. The long, unrolled handset cord is designed to clip into the cord clips on the underside of the base unit. The excess cable can be wrapped into the plastic base for a clean installation. The free end of the phone cord terminates with a standard RJ-11 modular phone jack. The plug is designed to be…

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
