ABSOLUTELY TRASH! the best accessories for MP3 and MP4 players

This article is scrap! Do not buy this adapter! I bought the RCA brand thinking it would be decent because of the famous brand. I've been using a cassette adapter (worked great for a long time) made by Premier for about 6 years and the cable ended up having some issues but it's still better than RCA. RCA is very loud! The cassette player makes a grinding noise and the speaker volume is very low and sounds TERRIBLE. I'll just keep using my old adapter until I get a new stereo because all the…

Sounds great - accessory for MP3 and MP4 players

I've been using this adapter for 2 weeks now and it works great with my '98 Corolla. The sound quality is amazing, it's full stereo sound with a nice flat response. I've spent some time and money on cheaper fake cassettes but they always do something weird like clip the highs, hiss or get muffled. It's similar to using an auxiliary cable, except it has a regular ribbon adapter that prevents you from cranking the player up too loud, or it just boosts the low frequencies. Lens: Stereo, almost no…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Only available in black

It sounds great! suitable for portable audio and video

Ok everything works fine but I'm not a music lover so I don't know what cleanliness means (hence 3 stars). This cassette adapter is a replacement for another brand, also made in China, which arrived in non-working condition. This was probably made in the same factory. I chose this RCA branded product because I was hoping it would actually work. It does. My 2003 GMC Sierra PU doesn't have Bluetooth or a direct way to connect your phone to the radio, but it does have an amazing Bose sound system…

Best Products Available

I last purchased this product in October 2013. I have been using car cassette adapters for several years and have had to change them many times. I expected them to break sooner or later, but as far as I knew, replacing them was cheaper than alternatives. This one worked the same as other brands I've bought. The noise they make while in the car cassette player is annoying and you have to get up to muffle it. I have since found that I can use a bluetooth radio car plug adapter with USB charging…

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Some Difficulties

Works very well for a crappy tape deck. The sound quality is good enough to enjoy most genres other than classical with amazing bass response. When connected to my Moto G4, the performance drops quite a bit, but when connected to my Zune HD ("who still has an .mp3 player?..”) the sound quality is quite comparable to a CD, especially if there are any sound improvements . available on the media player. I've encountered some issues with intermittent noise when spinning the cassette deck, as well…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled

The first purchase was great. The second is not very good.

Three stars because I have purchased this product before and it has worked great for years. I recently had to replace it and the new one is terrible. Decided to share the difference. The volume of this new one is too low. Even with the phone at maximum volume, I have to turn the volume of the car radio almost all the way up to get a normal volume. The last one was the opposite. I never turned the phone's volume all the way up and it was still pretty loud. I also think there could be a short…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Based on reviews, Q&A and product description, this item works with mobile phones. However, when I tried to connect my phone to the car stereo using this adapter, it didn't work at all. First, the end of the "cassette" took forever to stay in the autoplayer because when I put it in, the "cassette" popped back out and ejected. Once in the player, nothing happened at all, no matter how hard I turned the volume on the phone and the car radio. There was no sound at all. I thought maybe my cassette…

Pros
  • Playing portable CD player from cassette deck
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

There's a reason it's cheap.

After looking through a lot of adapters over the last few years I decided to order this one simply because it's cheaper. It does its job and plays music through my car speakers. However, if I don't twist the cord into the correct position, the music that comes out is very quiet and of poor quality. It also emits surprising bursts of static electricity from time to time. However, that seems to apply to every adapter, so I can live with it. What really knocked down the reviews for this adapter is

Pros
  • No wiring required. Just plug in.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Really, absolutely, rubbish.

I bought this thinking it must be good since it's RCA right? Not correct. Right out of the box I stick it in my car radio and the player throws it away. It turns out that there is a protective tape at the point of contact, which you are not told about, but whatever. I understand the desire to protect the product for the consumer. Aside from the fact that the tape is awkward to remove, especially if you don't want to scratch the contact. I took out the cassette and put it in. Success! Now it's…

Pros
  • Connects to your portable CD player's headphone jack or line out
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others
