This was my second purchase of this model. The original lasted a long time, then one of the antennas broke when moving the device. You'll have to move the device around the room during a storm, but hey, those are bunny ears. Here's what you should do if your TV reception is bunny ears.

A few years ago I cut the cable but missed the opportunity to tune in to a live newscast. I bought one of these from a local store and hooked it up to my Revain Fire TV and was amazed at how many channels I got. I have tried these flat antennas before with minimal success. I have since bought additional devices to use on another Revain TV and an older Sony model and am able to enjoy live TV again.

I had only received 12pm at 3pm yesterday afternoon. I hooked it up in the evening after trying many times to get channels that were nothing but the antenna I had. My antenna is already broken, I'm just trying to rotate it and find the "sweet spot". I had it as close to the window as possible, which means it was on the windowsill. I will never repeat, never buy any of these RCA items again. I don't even want another one if they offer to replace it.

Today I received this antenna. I have an old RCA similar to this one so I crossed my fingers and ordered this one hoping it would be satisfactory until I could afford a better one. It does exactly the same thing as my old one. I live over 80 miles from the nearest TV station and over 50 miles from the nearest TV tower. We're about 25 miles from the nearest transmitter in Houston, so we're in a very flat part of the world, but we're not close to the source. I have always bought RCA antennas and this model seems to be the best. Remember that location is key, as well as the type of home you have and the age of construction. Sometimes older buildings have a lot more material than today's buildings. Note that after approximately 70 miles, the TV tower's transmit signal may drop due to the natural curvature of the earth and weather conditions may also play a role.
