I have been using a beauty blender for many years. I like them, but over time I've noticed that the quality has gone down - after a month of use they start to leave little foam spots on my face - i.e. break down too quickly. I was very excited to try it as I thought it would make up my face much faster due to its sheer size but I had to use it it once, and then when I went to wash it, it ripped. Although I was very gentle and careful. This isn't my first cosmetic sponge so I know I have to be gentle when washing. But unfortunately I had to throw it away because I know that even the smallest tears can lead to bacteria in the product. I would post a photo but I'm out of sponge.

Actually, I'm a bit disappointed. The photo I provided shows this sponge and 2 others (black and pink). Unfortunately I don't know what the rest of the sponges are called (if anyone recognizes one or both please tell me the brand) but I have them for comparison. I ordered this sponge because I have very sensitive skin and it is difficult to clean my pores unless you use soaps, pads, brushes etc. use answer for people who want to give their skin some care. The sponge is shaped so it can get into all the little crevices etc under the eyes, along the nose etc. Very comfortable to hold and use!
