Description of 🏒 H1499RTAT Shallow Air Tite Recessed Housing

Air-Tite rated design meets restricted air flow code requirements which prevents airflow between attic and living areas and saves on both heating and air conditioning costs. For use with MR 16 bulbs up to 50-Watt. Has four remodel clips which secure the recessed housing and accommodates 1/2 in. and 5/8 in. ceiling material. Compatible with a wide variety of 4 in. low-voltage recessed light trims but is best with Halo 1496, 1493, 1421, 1420 and 1419 series models. NM cable pryouts and conduit knockouts in junction box. Can be installed from below the ceiling in home remodel applications, ideal for those who have limited or no access to their ceiling. For use in non-insulated ceilings or insulated ceilings where insulation is kept at least 3 in. from all sides of the recessed light fixture. 3 "Quick Connect" connectors eliminate the need for separate wire nuts - simply strip supply wires and push in. Listed for damp location when used with dedicated wet rated recessed ceiling lights. Features an integral thermal protector to guard against misuse of insulation materials and improper lamping.

Efficient and Durable Recessed Housing

This industrial and scientific recessed housing is perfect for shallow spaces. It's efficient, durable, and meets safety requirements. The smaller size makes it easier to install in tight spaces. The only downside is that it's not as bright as some other housing options. However, it's still a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality lighting component.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Requires ceiling space

fixed the problem. Old lamps no longer work, bought.

fixed the problem. Old fixtures stopped working, bought two replacements and installed them. You probably saved $100-$200 compared to hiring a handyman/electrician to figure out the problem and then still have to replace them.

Pros
  • For use in uninsulated ceilings or insulated ceilings where the insulation is at least 3 inches on all sides of the downlight.
Cons
  • working speed
