Recon Smoked Cab Roof Lights for 2003-2007 🚗 Dodge Heavy-Duty 2500 & 3500 (5-Piece Set) - 264146BK Review

Headlights work and look great. No template is supplied and trying to measure and align the roof is difficult. I ended up buying the template on ebay. To keep the headlights flush with the roof, I drilled a hole right from the headlight bulb. If you drill a hole for the wire in the middle, it won't sit flush.

I bought these because the ones on my truck were already broken and the bulbs were bad. I bought these and plugged them in where the old ones were. Of course I had to remove the headliner to fit them but I think it was worth it. The lights arrived on time and I have had them installed since November 1st 2019. I haven't had any problems with them and it's been 5 months. 10/10 would buy again.

These headlights looked good compared to the factory amber headlights on the truck. But where it ends is for the better. They sat right on top of the truck because they are flat and the roof isn't flat which is why they leak. Also, they're not very bright compared to the factory bulbs they replaced. Not worth the money at all. And just ask anyone who knows about car maintenance, Recon makes absolute crap.

The only "problem" was that I had to cut the wiring harness to connect them to my truck's cable. Otherwise all work perfectly. Let's see how long they last. To update. About a month later they let water into my truck's headliner. I will try to contact the seller. The seller replies quickly. The instructions refer to the installation of new truck lighting without cab lighting. I used the factory seal so it may be leaking. I'll update when I fix it.

The headlights look great on my silver Dodge Ram 2500 when they're not on. Less than a week later, one onion had already died. I checked to make sure it wasn't all crazy plug installation. There was tension but the lights weren't on. Polarity checked twice of course. Disappointed as each of them says they passed quality control. These are LEDs, they shouldn't be. Obviously it can, it just shouldn't happen as often as I see in the reviews. I ordered a replacement lamp. I just hope the others…

My fiance ordered these for his truck and he loves them. He had old orange cab lights and wanted to switch to a smoked color. They're still amber when turned on, which is exactly what he wanted. Installation was pretty easy. He used sealant to ensure there were no leaks. The lanterns have screw attachments on the sides that differ from the attachment of other lanterns. He believes the other cockpit lights were fitted after the sale as well. After I connected everything, everything worked fine.

Only fitted 2 to start and one headlight stopped working just after the return period was over and only stayed on my car for 2 weeks. They didn't fit very well on my 3rd gen roof. The light doesn't account for the factory bushings that prevented them from seating properly. I had to use a factory seal to prevent it from flowing without silicone. The fittings were also the wrong diameter and the rubber washers simply deformed leaving a gap instead of sealing the holes. spend 90 dollars. Replaced…
