This is the best flux I have ever used. I once had a can of old rosin flux that lasted me over 5 years. Unlike rosin flux, it gives off very little smoke and is very clean and sharp. If you don't clean the joint of rosin flux it will eventually corrode, which prompted me to look for a new can. I've had it for a few hours and it works very well with SMD. Definitely recommend it.

I solder crappy scrap wire, Teflon FEP and other silver coated wires. I've also tried not using flux at all and I can safely say that without this flux the solder will not stick easily, if at all (to cutting wire). The amount they are selling is ridiculous and will take way longer than what I paid. The only thing not to do is apply too much flux, honestly it's not a problem but I don't like seeing the black residue it can leave. Five stars!

The flux itself works great. However, the first batch I ordered was packaged poorly and loosely so when I opened the box I found the lid had come off and was only a few inches from the tin. That suggested to me that he didn't just fall when he landed on my doorstep, but must have slipped away early in the process and pushed a lot in the process. And of course the inside of the box was painted gray with all the flux that came out in the process. A little tape around the fill would have prevented
