I was disappointed with my purchase of these ratchet shears. After trying this product, I found that the quality was poor AND not on par with other industrial and scientific tools. The cost of these shears is also too high for the substandard quality. The only pro was that they were easy to grip. However the cons far outweighed this one positive aspect.I do not recommend these shears to anyone in need of reliable industrial power tools..

Have been using reed cutters for 40 years until my old ones wore out and instead of ordering all the parts to restore I just bought another one. I also have spin type and both work well; However, the rotary cutter is a nightmare with Sch 40 tubing, but the reeds cut through like butter. Rotary cutters are great for thin (PVC 200 series), drip tubing and PEX tubing. Both tools find their application in irrigation and plumbing work.
