🔧 Black Reese 118136 Long Mounting Bracket and Clamp Review

Does what it's supposed to. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the price. $18 for a piece of metal with a curve, holes drilled in it, and a tie?

Nice bracket. The clamp is ineffective in holding the clamping force. It just loosens rather than tightening more than by hand. Instead, I used strong black cable ties.

I wanted to use it with a 7-way mount; however, did not work well with the factory configuration of the General Motors OEM connector. I ended up using it for a heavy duty 12v plug for my trailer winch.

Not sure if the yoke fits on the crossbar but it does. Easy to install, offers a surprisingly secure attachment point. then again nothing is free no matter what they say about delivery.

Bracket arrived on time and was as described. Installation was easy once I understood how the clamp works. I've never seen anything like it (it's not the same as hardware store). It does its job and keeps my wired plug level and out of the way. I would give it 5 stars but at $16.02 it's expensive for what you get. a rectangular piece of steel with a square hole and bolt holes, mounting bolts and nuts, and a hose clamp. I guess that's the price you pay for not being able to bend a piece of steel

Goes with almost everything. The "hose clamp" type of attachment is suitable for almost everything.
