Better than most locking pins, more durable.

Excellent clutch lock. It cannot be broken off with a pipe like other flimsy locks. Recommend to inject oil or WD into it when holding the hitch to avoid snagging, or just remove the hitch when not in use. Road dirt accumulates over time and it can be difficult to veer off the road. Get ready, keep it lubricated

DO NOT BUY, BAD DESIGN AND QUALITY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I bought this in December 2016 and about every four months I have removed the locking mechanism and lubed it to keep it from getting stuck in my hitch. Well I tried to remove it last week and it wouldn't come off. After being sprayed with a PB blaster and hitting it a few times with a 1 pound hammer, he erupted. As you can see from the attached image, this device didn't survive the Maryland weather. I wouldn't buy this unless you live in a warm, dry climate. I contacted Reese to inquire about a

DO NOT BUY! Stuck on the car after 3 months; I had to drill and cut.

Worst clutch lock. This lock works by inserting a lock side guide pin into the passive side core which pushes out a ball bearing and locks the lock side in place. This concept may be good in practice, but it is useless wherever rust can occur, which is anywhere on earth. After only 3 months, the ball bearings had rusted and frozen, preventing the lock from being dismantled.
