We ate everything from soup to muesli in these bowls. They stay strong even when heated in the microwave and hold liquid well.

I love that this bowl is made from recyclable paper. This is a large size for salads, desserts, or fruit. I would not use them for HOT liquid foods like soups. Paper soaks up any liquid very quickly and I had to double the bowls to make them suitable for soup or oatmeal. Using double shells reduces savings when buying in bulk. So no soups. Great for salads!

These are excellent biodegradable paper bowls and are best for dry food/produce and cold or warm wet food. They are quite strong and durable *but *I give them a 4* because heating wet food in it or keeping hot wet food in it for more than 5 minutes will seriously compromise the integrity of the bowl and cause it to sag or sweat or otherwise break the bottom of the Bowl begins to collapse.
