Fits my AO Smith GCV 50 water heater. Pilot light did not light up, pilot assembly replaced with this part and everything worked perfectly. Before you go out and buy a whole burner assembly, give this a try.

It seemed intimidating at first, but once I took out the old one and saw how everything worked it was very easy. With great instructions and everything you need. even a clamp fitting for the head tube. Thanks very much!

I love that it's a thermopile, igniter and pilot light all in one. If you disassemble your water heater, you might as well replace it. You should be a little handy and be able to check for gas leaks yourself. If you can do all of this comfortably, I would highly recommend this kit.

I had to replace the 1/4" valve to connect the gas valve properly; it leaked first with the original product supplied. I was able to find matching parts for 2, $50 at a local hardware store.It took a few tries but since Whirlpool NOT this seller only sells the whole piece and not what I need it worked.Generally a good product but you can buy additional ones Buy parts.Also I only installed this product for 2 days, let's see how it performs in the long run.
