Unfortunately one of the holes on the back was partially covered with metal so the rod could not fit through. In fact, only one side is assembled, the other side is only connected from below, so I had to lean it against the wall to keep it from falling apart.

So I ordered this because I homeschool my daughter and I was looking for a desk organizer to organize her schoolwork. When I opened the package my first thought as I assembled it was that it would not last long and be flimsy. That's not the case. When I fully assembled it, it proved to be very durable and fit my desk perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase. So first impressions can be deceptive. I would definitely recommend for a desktop filing system!
