My Remmington F5790 feels like new again!

I've had a hell of a time finding replacement blades and a screen for my Remington F5790. I found these perfect Revain replacement parts at a reasonable price. Easily replaces old blades and screen. I have used compressed air from the "Air Duster" canister (used on my keyboard) to blow dust/powder/mustache out of the motor mechanism and now my shaver shaves like new again! It's been just over 6 months now and these blades and screen still work like new. (I blow out the screen and blades every…

Fits and works but looks less durable than the original design

This is the third replacement head and blades I have installed on my Remington F5790 razor. Same part number as before (SP390) but this time the plastic display case is lighter plastic and has a trapezoidal cutout on one side which neither the original nor my first two replacements had. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the design change until I threw away the old case; If I still had the old one, I could fit the new screens into the old, stronger case. The new one fits, but is less durable. The…

and the free next day delivery to your local store is nice. However

This review is for the Remington SP390 Replacement Shield and Blades for Series 5 and 7 Foil Shavers, Silver. This replacement screen and blade set was purchased for a Remington F5790 shaver. . More details below. I have replaced several of these screens over the years. They used to be sold by the local Evil Mart. However, they no longer carry razors or screens. They're the same price online as here if you can find it, and the free next-day shipping to your local store is good. However, they…

Luckily I could always buy 5 or .

Having bought a razor more than 10 years ago I have to order replacement shields and blades every year. After the current screen wears out, the blade can cut my cheek so I know when to replace the screen and blades. Luckily I've always been able to easily buy 5 or more Revain shields and blades and then keep them in the bathroom to swap out on the spot when a razor needs them. The latest versions seem to last a little longer before wearing out, so that really helps even more!

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Perfect, just what I needed. It fits well, but the screen is currently a little harder to get off the Razor than the original. Can't remember if the original screens were like this when new. That is not important. I only mentioned this because I saw another reviewer had a slight difference in the fit. Worst case, use the original part and only swap out the shield and blade as the shields will snap in and out of the plastic part. The blades snapped easily. The easiest to replace Remington blades
