As a result of my tests, I determined that this remote is not worth the investment. The buttons are unresponsive and difficult to use while out on the water. The only positive aspect is that it does offer some basic functionality. However, the cons far outweigh any potential benefits. Save your money and look for a more reliable remote.

The old end of the cable is simply worn out. I use the boat often. Didn't realize the old end was snapped, it's plastic with a metal threaded insert. The new finish is an exact copy with no cracks. Runs like a new boat. Thanks very much!
