Basically works as it should. The main reason we bought this is to add a focus button to our DJI Ronin gimbal, eliminating the need to bend down and half-press the shutter button on the camera. itself every few seconds. Sometimes we just shoot in manual mode, but other times we need to activate autofocus to change the focal length in the middle of the frame. The focus button works ONLY in photo mode. To my surprise, this remote control works with the Panasonic AG-DVX200 camcorder with the "ZOOM S/S" connector. It's really cheap compared to most other Panasonic remotes, starting at around $150. The only thing to note (this isn't a defect or anything) is that the scaling works at the slowest scaling speed on the DVX200. The zoom speed settings in the camera menu don't seem to affect the zoom speed when zooming with this remote and the speed is the slowest. Start/Stop works as it should.

I really like this article. Something wireless would be better, but the cord is long enough for minor inconveniences. For the price I like it very much, but I can't give it a 5 because I can take photos and shoot videos on the GH4 in M mode. The trigger doesn't know the difference. I assume this can be configured via the menu settings as these Panasonic cameras are very "customizable". Until then, straight out of the box and into the camera, you can't use the shutter button even in manual mode…
