My review is short

I bought this for my 8 year old to wear over a dance leotard. They're great for it, but they run small so they almost look like lingerie when she starts to move a lot. Be sure to increase the size. She is 52 inches and 65 pounds (tall and skinny).

Pros
  • They were a little thinner than expected so would fit under the dresses. My girls also wear them over swimsuits.
Cons
  • Good for dance and gym classes... the fabric is quite thin and not as stretchy as I thought it would be, but it grows out quickly.

Practical: my rating

I don't like polyester and I'm sure we'll need something else for years to come that breathes better, but my 10 year old finds them comfortable.

Pros
  • Suitable for a child wearing size 8-10 pants. Allows room in the crotch and buttocks, but not too loose or sagging. Great fit

Inaccurate size. in my opinion

I bought a size 14 based on her measurements hoping she would have room to grow. They are dense, roll up and stretch at the seams. A complete waste of money.

Baggy fir... good for me

They were cute but a little baggy. Since they are spandex I assumed they would be so baggy. Therefore, you may need to reduce their size. Everything was fine with the waist, but only the shorts themselves hung down.

  • Fit exactly and work in the dance class my daughter needed it for.

  • Cannot be machine washed or easy to clean

Perfect for dresses/skirts, see through by itself.

They're see-through so you'll either have to make them double or make sure your kid wears nude or black underwear! But when worn under a dress or skirt, they will be gorgeous!

Great for dancing!

I bought them for my daughter for ballet and modern dance classes. She's more comfortable in shorts over a bathing suit, but they're tight enough for the teacher to see her hips and movements. A great addition to your dance wardrobe.

Very good shorts in my review

I bought these for my 7.5 year old daughters to play volleyball. You are absolutely perfect. The fit is great! They don't move too much, squeeze too much around the hips, and don't loosen or tear. In comparison, we bought some brands from BCG at the Sports Academy and they spread out at the bottom and show too much loot. To business.

I'm not that enthusiastic about the material. You are very thin. I was hoping for a thicker and "leggier" material, but I took a risk.

Nice shorts under the dress

These shorts shine, the material is not what I expected but they are obviously comfortable, the right size and do the job perfectly. We bought these for my daughter to wear under her school uniform.

  • I like it very much for my daughter. It's cheaper than buying those at Walmart and they last a long time.

The fabric is too transparent.

My granddaughters love how they fit and feel. The downside is how transparent they are. Another material that does not show through would be more suitable.

Thinner than expected, but still great overall!

Shorts are used for gymnastics and under dresses. The material is thinner than expected, but you can't see through it. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

My daughter loves these shorts because they are comfortable and the fit is short enough to wear under skirts and dresses without showing. Once she even slept in twos.

Very very thin in my opinion.

My skinny 13 year old daughter needed them under her skirts so she wouldn't wear a dress code to school. The material is super thin. I don't see them lasting very long. . .for the money I wouldn't buy them again.

Tissue Paper Thin: Unusable

My daughter doesn't even try them on to see if they fit because they are totally unusable. They are literally as thin as tissue paper. I can understand that real "underwear" is thin, but these are the thinnest shorts I've ever seen in my life (I'm not exaggerating, I've never seen anything like it). tuck them under the dress you would see her underwear TRANSPARENTLY through them so what's the point?! Thank goodness for the free return, otherwise I would get angry.

Great for underwear

Bought several times as my child grew up. They're great to wear under dresses so she can play without worrying about her underwear showing when she's sitting on the floor or playing in the park. They are comfortable and washable. I can't give them a full 5 star rating as the gum will eventually deteriorate so be careful what setting you dry it on (it will stick together after a while even if dried on low heat). . Exactly what we wanted!

Bought to wear under dresses as teachers seem to take offense at the underpants on display (but remember the boys' pants are hanging down from their bums so you can see their underpants aren't offensive). We wanted something with a shorter inseam as the ones we currently have are long enough to occasionally peek under the hem of the dress.
