Nintendo DS NDS GBA Game Card Reader Slot Repair Part: Replacement Cartridge Review

I was hesitant to purchase this replacement cartridge reader for my Nintendo DS, but I am so glad I did. As my tests showed, it significantly improved the loading time for my video games. Not only that, but it was very easy to install. The only downside was that it was a bit pricey compared to other accessories on the market. Overall, I highly recommend this reader for any DS gamers looking to upgrade their system.

OEM carriage sockets have a notch that blocks insertion of a DMG carriage, but this replacement doesn't have one so it can be used for projects where you need to interface with the Original wish greybox games GB. This is great because otherwise you would have to either cut out that notch or rip out the carriage slot from the original DMG/GBC.

The item looks very high quality, but is significantly larger than the original item. Not only does this mean it won't fit as snugly as the original part, but when you align the pins to solder, the DS won't close because the metal shield on the console won't let it close. . Unfortunately I messed up the part trying to get it to fit so I can't return it.
