I'm tired of my suspender buttons coming loose in my heavy work pants. So I tried them because the anchor pin is longer. The button head has the same diameter as the buttons on the braces. They work fine; Just note that the inside head of the needle is thicker than the button buttons on suspenders.

It doesn't lock at all - I've tried and tried locking the end on the button (mainly to secure the pin), but there's no mechanism to keep the pin in place so far I can judge. This means the button pins will literally pop out when it's embarrassing and frankly dangerous to simply push a sharp pin out.
