The cross pieces look great and are dark purple. Keep in mind that they are metal and fingerprints can discolor a bit, but I don't mind. These D-Pads looked amazingly fresh right out of the box. The purple was very deep and they were beautifully smooth. After some use I noticed that they change color and I can assume this is oil from my fingers. This was my second purchase from this company and their products are 0/2 with me so far.
