My key to my pilot has been broken for years and I just sorted it out. It literally took me 10 minutes to assemble. I had no problems. Car started right away.

I was in a rush to assemble and skipped a few steps so the key was loose and wouldn't snap shut. I was about to return it when I noticed the little black piece that was supposed to hold your key. Well that's the difference. You should also start closing it from the top. It was very easy, fits perfectly and has the Honda symbol. Excellent quality and easy assembly at a very reasonable price.
