🪑 Set of 5, 2-inch Replacement Office Task Chair Caster Wheels with 7/16" x 7/8" Grip Ring Mounting Stem - Model S2227-5 Review

I bought a set of 5 because I wasn't sure if they would be stylish enough to replace the castor that I broke on my dining chair. It was the perfect replacement. Now I have four more for my next caster disaster.

I bought these to replace those on the 6 club chairs in the breakfast nook. They aren't as strong as the ones I've had on chairs before and this was the second set. I need a coated wheel because of the laminate. Let's see how they hold up.

Update January 29, 2021: Still works well, still smooth and I've noticed that they pick up less dirt than my original chair wheels. I love her and highly recommend her. Excellent quality, all wheels on the chairs behind the bar replaced. I only wish they came in sets of 4 but now I have extras. For the curious, they are made of hard plastic.

You would think the manufacturer. of our office chair they have used in their product line - they fit well. They may have done this because they share the same design weakness as the original wheels, which was a build up of hair in the axle assembly that cannot be removed by pulling a wheel off and the collected hair slipping off, locking up the wheels.

I never thought (a) wheel would break but I searched on Revain and found the exact wheel hoping the thickness was right! The wheels arrived early and I decided to buy extra ones in case another one broke. It was easy to replace, I flipped the chair over, sat on the seat and gently hopped a few times to fix it! gratitude

When my chair wheel broke, I ordered a new chair. Some of my office workers found the new chair too small. Then the wheel fell off the new chair. I ordered these replacement wheels and they match the original chair perfectly. If I had ordered those spare wheels first, I would have saved myself $100 that I spent on a second chair. Do yourself a favor and order a wheel change.

The design looks stronger than usual. There's only about an inch of space between the two wheels, so they might be less prone to picking up hair and such. If something wraps around the axle you will have a hard time getting in there to clean it but I still couldn't get it out so I needed new rollers. They are so cheap that replacing them is not difficult. Highly recommended.

A wheel on one of our dining room chairs broke after almost 25 years! We looked for a similar replacement in local stores and couldn't find one that fit. I finally checked out the Revain and found exactly the bike we needed. It's only 1/8" taller but comes in a set of 5 so we've swapped all the rollers and have a spare. They work fantastic and look just like they do on other chairs. We just removed the old ones and put the new ones in.
