Description of Replacement UC7083T Hampton Ceiling Wireless

Dual light control button that can control the upper light and the lower light separately. Also works on models with one light. Can adjust brightness with the buttons. There are 4 dipswitches in this remote. If the remote does not work properly out of the box, you might need to adjust the dipswitches to match the receiver in your ceiling fan. Note: If the indicator light stays on, it means the battery level is very low, you will need a new battery to make it work properly. This remote does not come with a battery. A23 type battery need to be purchased separately.

Best for draining batteries in remotes

This remote gets 2 stars because it works but if you leave the battery in the remote will drain it because it kind of stays on. It doesn't turn the fan on and off or anything, but the red light keeps blinking and you'll need a new unusually sized battery in about two days. I just take out the battery when I'm not using it, which is very inconvenient.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not the best

Excellent replacement remote for Hampton Bay ceiling fan

I needed a replacement remote for Hampton Bay (bought about 14 years ago). This one looked exactly like the lost one - worth a try with Prime. After finding the right battery for it, it worked great with the fan. And that's great because without the remote we couldn't turn off the fan when the light was on! It worked by default when programming remotely.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Damaged

Absolutely perfect replacement!

Perfect replacement for a dead remote control (my kids decided to 'clean' it and threw it in the sink). If you're having trouble with it not working, be sure to check your frequency settings. KEEP YOUR OLD REMOTE, DO NOT DISCHARGE UNTIL YOU HAVE REPLACED IT. This saves you a lot of time when frequency problems arise, because then you know without having to guess.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

It just works. for remote controls

Day1: Unfold and insert battery (not included), point at the ceiling fan and voila! The only thing that makes it better for me is the fader to control the lights (or it can control two lights). It looks just like my original but with that dual switch/fader. It also comes with a wall mount bracket and some screws. Also, I keep the battery cover from the old one as a spare because it tends to crack. I'll update if anything goes wrong, but so far I'm very happy with this remote.

both controllers have issues

After using them for over six months I can give a real review, both controllers work but they don't work as easily as the OEM controllers that came with the fans. Both have buttons that need to be pressed in a very specific way in order for them to do their job, which is annoying to say the least as it can take half a dozen tries before they work. The rest, three dead batteries in less than 6 months is ridiculous. Either these controllers are seconds or just a low quality product, it doesn't…

Poor quality item, don't waste your time

This item is defective. The first one I ordered was defective but was replaced very quickly after notifying the seller. The exchange was also unsuccessful. Had to replace the battery after six weeks of light use despite having a brand new battery. He works when he feels like it and usually prefers not to work. And the text disappeared from two buttons after six weeks of light use. The photo on the left is the original remote that came with our fan and has been in daily use for years. Save…

The remote keeps eating batteries.

this is the remote control for my ceiling fan. The remote keeps giving up every few weeks because the battery is dead. I replaced the battery with a new one and sometimes it worked again. after a few weeks the remote control stopped working again and even changing the battery didn't help. Luckily I contacted the supplier and they were very kind to send replacement remotes. I don't know how long it will be before they replace remotes, but I'd rather have one that works. I have another remote…
