Thin, tears easily

These strings are junk. The metal pin is not strong enough and will bend when you try to screw it into the headliner. Don't buy them if you're trying to secure your headliner.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • No instructions

They are fine in linen

The fabric lining has been lost in the roof of my car. The car has foam under the fabric and it is quite difficult to screw in these pins. However, I screwed in just enough to keep the fabric from slipping.

Worked best with bed skirt pins

The glued lining on the inside roof of my car fell off. I used these pivot pins to reattach it. The lining is beige so I used clear needles. They did their job and the lining is secure.

Great for the car roof!

Footage on my old machine crashed. I have these clear pens and they look really great. Gives the car a completely new look. Holds the material in place and looks the way it should.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some issues

Exactly as described.

Pins are exactly as described and hold my skirt in place perfectly. They are identical to my more expensive individual pieces. The storage box was broken and completely unusable, although I didn't buy it for the storage box. I'm just saying.

Game Changer!: Linen

I'm so glad I found this! We just bought a van with a sagging roof. It's 2006 so I didn't see much point in spending hundreds of dollars to repair/replace the headliner. The headliner was blocking the vents in a few places and these pins did a great job of lifting it up and out of the way. I haven't installed them all yet but I've fixed the most annoying areas and I'm so happy.

Pros
  • Sequin
Cons
  • Problem

It depends what they contain. I used them for the headliner. All headlining support is not created equal. Mine is very tight, I was able to angle the stylus at just the right angle to insert the pointed part into the pad and screw it in just enough to hold it, and then slide the rest of the stylus (with the notches back on) to hold the slide. It holds. Although there is a bit of finger strength.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Don't waste your money

This is flimsy garbage. I bought them to attach the headliner to my car and they were utterly useless, bent and became useless with little effort. I left them on the sidewalk with a free pickup sign and no one picked them up for three days. If you need to repair your headliner, buy trendy, not cheap! - cute pins to stab him. It costs a bit more but works great and if you get a little creative with pattern/button placement it might even look cool.

Pros
  • handy article
Cons
  • so far so good
