3 dolls already hanging above

Love the extra height of the tall cage when raising monarchs from eggs to butterflies. This will help get the spurge cuttings in the water and clean them daily without disturbing the "cats" on the spurge cuttings or pupae hanging from above. Also, there is additional space on the bottom of the cage for placing additional cuttings in makeshift containers if small "cats” unexpectedly appear on a leaf, the egg of which I happened not to see. So far this cell is working fine for me. I can't wait…

great habitat for butterflies

I love how easy it is to access the inside thanks to the large zip on the side. I also really like that there are small bottles with waterproof caps so the cuttings can stay hydrated. I appreciate that the cage has some straps that can be tied around other things to secure the cage. It's lightweight, and if you just put the cuttings in to eat, the wind can blow them away. There's still plenty of room to plant a few 1-gallon plants if you can. I'm having trouble finding milkweed for my monarch…

Habitat for butterflies in teaching and education

I just love watching butterflies grow and change from caterpillars to butterflies. This year, from August 2021 to October 2021, I bred 17 individuals. This Habit Cloud was the perfect size to put my milkweed plant in a containerized habitat. I also liked the water vials which were free with the order because my monarch caterpillars ate my whole milkweed plant and my friend gave me 10 cuttings of her milkweed and the vials kept the plant cuttings fresh. We recommend. After they all hatched and…

Good value for money

I ordered this just a few days before I saw live caterpillars on Euphorbia hoping it would happen. I was thrilled to have it available when needed. A day later I brought it inside as I wasn't sure if it would survive the coming storm so I don't know about heat. It can be easy to clean, but I read a tip on how to put paper on the floor every day so there's no mess. The little tubes of leaves are great, and I saw a suggestion to put them in the inverted parts of the egg carton. This works very…

Small holes appeared. stained glass. Difficult to fold for storage.

It really helped protect some monarch caterpillars that later became butterflies. I had read that the late summer generation should be grown outdoors as much as possible, otherwise they don't seem to migrate as they should, so finding something that can provide some outdoor protection was important to me. This was done, but after a month or two, very small holes formed in the grid. Not sure why as it was in a very sheltered patio area. The holes aren't big enough for predators, but some of the…

Great caterpillar shelter

I currently have four Monarch caterpillars in the mesh tent. One has just turned into a doll. To be honest, this tent is as important to me as it is to you. Maybe they're fine without a tent, but that's how I can see the whole process of metamorphosis. It is fascinating. This mesh tent is extremely easy to set up. Guidance is provided on basic caterpillar and butterfly care, including the need to regularly clean up caterpillar droppings. (Cats don't care where they poop! Luckily, the mesh…
