Works very well, we use it on the road so we don't have to keep the car running. The sound is very good and last days with a rechargeable battery

I use this radio on my desk every day. For a small radio with a speaker, this sounds good for AM talk and FM music. Shortwave works well too. I just wish there was a transitional vibe instead of a digital vibe. The battery lasts about 20 hours. Basically, I'm very happy with the radio.

This radio sounds and works great. The tuner is a DSP with a nice analog dial. A good looking dial would really be perfect if it was backlit. Luckily there is a hole in the top of the dial and space for some LEDs. The Dial Light Mod is easy and can be done in about an hour. Works best when not driving the LEDs to give a nice glow.

I recently bought this as an add on for a Retekess TR613 which I also own. I like the retro look the wood grain plastic gives; Both radios have nice sound and good battery life with a rechargeable 18650 battery. The TR614 is slightly larger and has a retro look on the dial (an improvement would be backlighting or backlighting on demand when changing channels). I am looking for a radio to send to my mother who is 80 and not the most tech savvy old lady. I think it will be a good choice.

I like the look of this radio so I like it. The sound is pleasant to listen to with a good balance between high and low frequencies. The radio uses a 1200mah protected 18650 battery which is new to me. It can easily be replaced with a similarly higher rated battery for longer runtime. I mostly charge my batteries with an external charger but you can trust this internal wireless charger as I tested it and it worked very well.
