Excellent Radio: Radio

I'm one of them People who like reading reviews and 'collecting' radios". After adding it to my collection I can honestly say that I really could compare it to others. I found this to have a very good sound coming from the Loudspeaker comes. Rich soft sound. It is also a very nice radio with wood structure. The reception is better than most. I highly recommend this radio.

Pros
  • AM FM SW radio with good reception; the analog radio has a 23.62" retractable antenna and a DSP chip; AM 530.0-1600.0 kHz; FM 88.0-108.0 MHz; SW 8.0-18.0MHz
Cons
  • Nothing

Very good radio for radio

First, the radio has the sound of a larger device. The radio looks very nice and the controls are easy to use. This radio replaces the radio that my wife had for many years and now doesn't work as well. Reception is poor in the area due to two cell towers nearby. But the TR613 has no problem with the station we're listening to. In general a very good product.

Pros
  • Easy to use; Adjust the station and volume with the knobs; Ready to work even for the elderly
Cons
  • Update Availability

Not for DX Listener

As a cheap radio it has some nice features: AM/FM plus a reasonable range for the few remaining shortwave stations. Love the retro packaging and the design of the tuning and volume controls (offset screw knobs). Where this setup disappoints is in the design of the AGC circuitry and synchronous detection, which struggle with poor signal reception. The radio wants to lock onto a strong local signal and redirect polling from the DX station you are trying to connect to. The AGC then kicks in and…

Pros
  • Portable size and exquisite workmanship; 6.81 x 1.47 x 3.60 inches; The shortwave radio can be carried around with the strap provided
