My son was at a wedding and the bride wanted a blue and white striped bow tie. That was excellent. I bought my slim size 6 years old, the largest size considering the reviews, and it fits perfectly (8-10 years old, width: 3.75 inches / 9.5 cm). In my research, I've learned that if your neck measures 13 3/4 inches or more, you're better off buying an adult-sized bow tie.

Bought for my 11 year old son. It's more of an orange cast than a true red. Also, the part that closes the loop immediately slipped off, revealing the unraveling white thread. It can be put back in place (or you can glue it), but it looks worse. In addition, it is set as small as possible and still too big for my son. The lock is excellent - very strong and reliable.
