As soon as I opened the package, a jet of chemical gas hit my nose. Washed, dried and filled with filtered water. I could taste the plastic chemicals within 2 minutes. The factory used something non-food grade when developing these bags. Mixing chemical additives with silicone will negate the purchase of a silicone pouch altogether. I do not recommend.

We have been using these bags and bandages for a few months now. Easier to clean than plastic bags and we like to use a more sustainable storage system! I haven't tried storing liquids in bags - I think it can be done, but it does require a bit of care :) Bags are too big for lunch boxes in my opinion, but great for camping and home use.

I love these thick silicone storage bags. You stand for yourself. I freeze food in it, it seems to stay fresh, maybe because of the thickness. They are easy to open and use with a slider. They clean up well in the dishwasher. Beeswax wraps work well for wrapping fresh foods and cheese for storage. Easy to clean and reusable. I am very satisfied with this eco-friendly set!

Beeswax foils take some getting used to compared to plastic foils which are more convenient and easier to use but of course worse for the planet. You have to handle the leaves carefully, reheat them before putting them in the jar/bowl/container and wash them thoroughly to make them recyclable, but they are all natural ingredients and better for the planet in the long run , by helping to reduce the consumption of plastic. I have another set of silicone bags + wax wraps and I really like them, I need more so I choose this one. The quality is almost identical in every way, except instead of silicone, which zips closed, these bags require a piece of plastic to hold it in place. I *almost* like it better as it definitely feels more durable, but if you lose the plastic piece you're kind of screwed since you're using the pockets as intended.
