I got these to save so much rubbish at the landfill and they are even better than I thought they would be. But be sure to rinse them before first use. Some kind of lubricant is used in the manufacture that just tastes awful. Easily removed with soap. I wash them in the dishwasher in a zip mesh bag on the top shelf and they come out nice and clean. These narrow drinking straws are best suited for non-carbonated drinks. Drinking fizz through them causes too much belching.

Purchased to save on disposable plastic straws. We used to use up 100 packs of straws in about 2 months, but now we have NOT bought any disposable straws since we bought them 9 months ago. Definitely go for them if you want to go green or at least stop buying things that just get thrown away.
