Doesn't fit on the lens and even if I CAN on the lens it doesn't stay there and the plastic is so flimsy I don't see like this offers any protection. I am not new to photography and this lens hood is just bad. I spend more and take better.

I bought this for my Canon T7 and just recently tried to use it at a wedding. Well, it keeps falling off. Eventually I gave up and stopped using it. I probably won't use it again. If I could return it I would, but 30 days have passed.

Doesn't fit perfectly, around 80% of Canon, but fits fairly well. Align the red dots, make sure the lens hood is fully attached to the lens, and then rotate it. Once they fit very well. It wasn't difficult for me to attach the lens hood to the lens.

Fits and works great with my 58mm kit lens. The only complaint about the coating on the outside of the hood. Looks like someone took a rattle and sprayed on less than an inch of coating. This is only a cosmetic issue. I didn't expect much for the price.

This lens hood is surprisingly good value for money. The hood is made out of plastic which feels cheap but is more durable than any others I've used. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't bought a lens hood before or is looking for a better lens hood.

I still haven't figured out how to install this thing. There are two bookmarks but I have no idea what they mean. I ended up squeezing and bending this thing until it slid onto the lens barrel. It rotates with the focus ring, so you can't move it into the position you need to block glare. Nothing is screwed in, the lens hood is simply placed on the lens behind the filter and lens cap. I'll explore a little more, but maybe I'll bring this back.

The spring mechanisms (two small pieces of plastic) are so hard and tight that I would have to use tremendous force to twist the hood into place. This puts a lot of wear and tear on the aperture mount on the front of the lens. There may also be internal damage to the lens from twisting the front side excessively.
