We had to use it for RFID cards but after talking to the support team found out it only requires HID cards. RFIDeas customer support was good and helped us resolve the issue within a minute or so, told us what to exchange it for and then we arranged a refund. Therefore 4 stars for the support.

Reads our cards perfectly. This is the exact same reader that all of our machines have, so I knew it would give us the results we wanted. A bit expensive, but works without special software. Scans the card code directly into the highlighted field.

I do a lot of access control work and clients keep asking for extra keys. However, they have no idea what their setup code is, and calling the manufacturer (looking at you) is a waste of time. This device can decrypt not only the proxy information but also the object code. This is truly an amazing product based solely on this aspect. Works great. By downloading the PC driver, you can configure the reader for almost any existing HID card format. Once this is done, the reader will behave like a regular keyboard when plugged into the PC's USB port. I've used it on several Windows computers and it's worked great on all of them.
