These are solid pieces and they added such a nice detail to my project. However, buyers should beware of screws because there is a possibility that you may receive defective screws. Most of us rusted and one of them broke because it was very fragile. To be honest I don't think that's too bad as they are easy to replace with a quick trip to the hardware store. However, this is a downside of the product that you should be aware of before purchasing.

This gear fits me perfectly. I have a large handmade wooden tool box (10ft long, 2ft wide, 2ft high) on my patio. Aged, rustic look with weathered wood and ok except for some rot on the lid. I was able to staple the corners of the lid together at the bottom of the lid with some inexpensive corner braces from local hardware, and then staple the top corners of the lid (to hide corner damage) with some nice hardware I found online. First, good. Product is as described and looks great on a barn table I built. Now for the disappointment. The inside of the brackets are poorly welded. There are weld beads on the inside of the temples. I was able to file them down with a dremel but it was annoying. The supplied screws are also of very poor quality. Using my screwdriver set to very low torque, I removed the four screw heads. I'm giving 3 stars because the finished product looks great - after fixing the poor workmanship.
