The drill does not use the battery.

Great price. In the past I have had concerns about refurbished power tools. No longer. Ridgid R86116 is a very good tool. First I drilled holes in the concrete with the machine. No problem.

Extremely powerful and durable

Extremely powerful and durable, I've been using this drill constantly for a few months. I have gone through many different rigorous tests. I use a Bosch Dewalt Milwaukee. the same performance at a lower price

Not yet happy with impact drills

Used for the first time today and got stuck setting up the impact drill even after switching to drill or drive. It seemed to come out after a few holes, but we'll have to see if it keeps happening. I hope not because I am very happy with all my other hard tools that I use on a daily basis as an HVAC technician.
