A very good find for small jobs. Storage problems after some time.

I don't have much room for a large bench grinder and have already burned out after paying $100 for another company's extremely underpowered 5 inch wobble sander. Fortunately, the Rikon grinder was a pleasant surprise: it's solid, well made, easy to use, powerful and exceeds expectations at this price point. The dust extraction is also good, the only thing that bothers me is the effort required to change the belts: instead of a kind of latch or knurled screw, you have to unscrew three screws…

Poor build quality and too high price compared to other analogues.

Device arrived defective. The belt would not adjust properly and immediately sank into the body. I investigated the problem myself and found that the idler/adjustment idler roll pin was not fully packed. This resulted in the shaft being misaligned and the tensioner not working properly due to the roll pin. I couldn't get the pin any further so I used a needle vise to get it out. Now I could see that the hole drilled for the roll pin was not straight from one side of the collar to the other…
