Ritche Leather Watch - Toffee Color Edition Review

Okay first of all I have a large 8.5 inch wrist and it fits well with holes. The leather is very soft, wears out quickly and, unlike other leathers, is so hard that the watch does not fit properly. The crazy horse style color and texture is absolutely beautiful, rich and elegant. The stitching is just fantastic, no loose threads. Why 3 stars when they deserve 5? Damn buckle. The tine on the tanks keeps slipping under the frame. Absolutely cheap clasp that shouldn't be on such a beautiful strap.

This is a quality watch strap. I replaced my bracelet style straps with an old shiny chrome plated 1999 Swiss Army watch and my old watch looks like a brand new modern watch, even the clasp fits. The leather is thick and a little stiff, as befits new leather. The haircut is beautiful and even. Not sure how it holds water, might need a bit of conditioning but overall not bad especially for the price. I ended up reusing the old pins as the new ones were too long (Swiss Army is an odd length)…

This watch strap is quick to put on and comfortable. There are two problems with this watch strap. First, there is the problem of the metal tab (quick release tab) coming off at the top. Because of this, it is very difficult to remove half of the watch strap without destroying it. An older non-quick release watch band has a lip on a spring-loaded pin that allows you to press the pin down and remove the band from the watch. Let's start with this: where else can you find a *top grain* leather strap in this price range? Exactly, nowhere else. But you get that here. This is a quality leather strap that you could spend 3-4 times more on if you went to an authorized dealer. I was looking for a good leather strap to fit my Seiko Alpinist. As many know, the leather strap that comes with the Alpinist leaves a lot to be desired. I looked at a few options and nothing really stood out until I saw this Ritche strap in toffee.

It's like my Richie Infinity watch strap. I have nato, alligator prints and now leather straps which complement and enhance the look of my watch. I can't strain myself to buy, buy, buy.
