This item was delivered quickly and installed correctly. It's perfect to replace my old torn PCV membrane. Before starting this project, you should be aware that you will need to remove some parts of your car, especially if you are installing it in a VW Passat.

Check if the motor flew by itself after a few kilometers. Since then the car has been running great, the fuel consumption is excellent again and when idling too. The hardest part is getting there. If you remove the valve cover, replacement is easy! I'm glad I did the work myself and saved $1500

Someone has already tried to fix this on the car with the Audi A3 3.2L. I went in and saw that they had messed up the setting of that diaphragm, patched it up and clamped part of the circle. This damaged the membrane, but the new one fitted well. Just make sure you check the adjustment by blowing/suctioning the hole to make sure you've adjusted the diaphragm properly before reassembling the motor.

This product doesn't work. The thicker rubber does not seal as intended. Still unsettled engine running with an audible driving cycle. I bit the bullet and put on an OEM Audi valve cover ($600 part) and my car runs like new. It might be worth the risk for those who have time to crash into their engine twice, but I didn't enjoy the job. twice. read and listen. This is the $25 part. This may not work as advertised. If so, consider yourself lucky.

Last week I had to take my 2008 VW R32 to the dealer to have a valve cover replaced. The dealer offered me two options. Option 1 was that the valve cover replacement cost $500 and could take up to a year to receive. Option 2 - Order the part from RKX for $25. I went with option 2 and saved a lot of money.
