This unit works great! It comes in beautiful packaging and is easy to install. It didn't take long and it works just like the original at the best price! It's built the same as the OEM I had at home. Overall I am happy and satisfied with this product.

UPDATE: Wife didn't like the preheat start (ie 2 second flicker). I also decided no, even though it was in the closet. Replaced by a model without preheating ("instant on"). The rating has been changed to one star. I will not recommend this product when a modern snap action ballast can be had for less.

Ballast for repairing a washbasin lamp for a customer. She didn't want to replace the light because it matched the larger light in the kitchen. Replacing the light above the sink would require replacing the main kitchen light, meaning it would cost over $100 instead of $11. I have a very happy customer

This is one of the old ballasts with a "hard start" where the light flickers/flashes several times as it "starts". If I knew about this, would I buy a more modern ballast that doesn't flicker when warmed up? Depends on the price difference. Aside from the flickering when warming up it works great, was exactly what I needed and was delivered quickly which is why I gave it a 5 star rating.
