My third pair!: moccasins and slippers

This is my third pair of Essential Details Water Proof Slips. They look great, have great arch support, and my favorite rubber outsole (as opposed to the hard "plastic" outsole that's all the rage these days). Once I've worn them enough to stop wearing them to work, I continue to wear them with jeans and get a second life from them. They have to be one of Rockport's most popular shoes because they're rarely on sale, and even then there's only about a $10 discount. Of course I would be happy…

Pros
  • vintage
Cons

too small and hard for slippers and loafers

These shoes don't suit me. They are very heavy! like a stone. This makes them not very comfortable to wear. And since they're a bit narrow (and my foot is already half my size, they're narrow even for me), that makes them worse. One virtue I can give to these boots is that they show quality. I bought them for a rare formal occasion so I can say I am not disappointed. At first glance they don't look cheap. I will keep them simply because I need a size 5.5 and this was the only pair I found on…

  • Elegant design

Don't buy if you have high arches.

These shoes are not for people with above-average arches. The hole for the shoe is too small and the elastics are too tight and don't let the foot slide in the shoe. It also causes ripples on the top of the boot (see photo). Not only is it ugly, it's terribly uncomfortable. Aside from that flaw, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this shoe.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Something's wrong

I have had 3 pairs of Rockports in the size I have ordered over the past 10 years. And they all fit great. Took them out of the box and was pleased to see that they looked even better than the Revain photo. HOWEVER, even with the shoehorn, I couldn't even close my leg before lifting it. These shoes are so narrow. By bringing them back I will cross Rockport off my list as another shoe manufacturer that no longer delivers quality. Very bad

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great hiking shoes!

These are my favorite shoes. I've bought six or seven times in the past. One great thing: my right foot is closer to a 12.5 than a 12 and many of the shoes are too narrow in length. However, these are spot on. I run about five miles every day on my lunch break and with these walking shoes I don't have to wear trainers to change into work.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • A few little things
