I ordered these for my son in anticipation of a trip in the snow. When we opened them up for him to try on, he immediately declared that he loved them. The inside is super soft and comfortable. In fact, he wore them like pajamas for a week and I had a hard time pulling him out of them. But when I had to wash them I noticed that the "silky" (meaning polyester) outside had already started to curl. When I got them out of the dryer the elastic was already deformed. I wouldn't expect them to survive
