They are not thin. They don't flex, they're the wrong cheap aluminum, and they're damn strong. A very excellent product. Especially for the price. Stronger than I thought.

the 2 inch spacing was perfect to use to make pot lid holders in my kitchen cabinet. I bought two, scaled them down a bit, then put them together and attached them with shorter screws than the ones in the kit so they wouldn't go through closet doors. My Farberware pots. Love it!

To be honest, this curtain rod feels a little light. I'm not sure I would trust him with an extra heavy curtain, but he's great for a regular blackout curtain. Just make sure you don't have cats, dogs or kids trying to climb on it as I'm sure the curtains will fall quickly. Good for directions. Didn't know how to store the lids. They were so big and took up shelf space when not in use. I found this idea on Pinterest.
