Improves the sound of Røde Podmic.

I bought this for Røde Podmic and it made the quality even better. From the sound test with and without a windscreen. There was a noticeable difference. The sound quality has improved, there was almost no explosive noise. And for $20 better than a pop filter. Would 100% buy again.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Works: Accessory

I bought the Rode Podmic thinking I didn't need a pop screen as it should have it built in but that's not enough. They don't make a pop filter specifically for Podmic but Rode said this WS2 will fit and it does! I put it on all the way and then took it off a bit and it gives me the space I need to contain the explosives.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

They fit, they work, they're just a little ugly.

Works great but sticks out like a sore thumb. Basically, they take your tiny mic and make it ridiculously big. But the sound improvement is definitely noticeable and worth it. Even with the Rode Podmic that claims to have built in pop filters, this makes a world of difference in delivering a professional radio sound. It removes the metallic high-end you get from Podmic.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

If you cannot use the pop-up screen.

This pop filter seems to color the sound a bit and also changes the amount of reflected sound going into the microphone. The good news is that this is somewhat useful on the RODE PodMic, which has a very heavily shifted frequency response. You'll never get the close-talking sound you want with a PodMic, but it does tame the high frequencies a bit and also reduces room clutter. The downside is that it's very, very rough and huge. It's like talking to a big black porcupine. That would be way…

  • Accessibility
Cons
  • Not much to complain about, it's ok

Reliable product but definitely not a miracle cure

Not bad but not sure if this is the best buy to get rid of popping noise. In general, windscreens don't block pop very well, but the Rode WS2 Microphone Pop/Windscreen product name advertises it as such. In my personal case, I wanted to try this with my microphone (because I get the minimum number of claps). how far to the side). I would also introduce minimal breathing restriction; not to a large extent. Surprisingly, it didn't confuse my highs as much as other windshields (cheaper materials).

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
