Good in every way except mechanics.

The screws on the top and bottom are long enough to barely tighten, but not strong enough to force hold. I found some longer screws so I hope they are strong enough. I don't have a lot of self-confidence. Otherwise everything looks fine.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Annoying

Bought for my Kat Kt4 electric drum kit and it worked great with it

Didn't think Roland cymbals were that good quality but when I bought this 12 inch Roland CY12 I understood why the drum kit Roland so is expensive because of the good quality. Anyway, I have a Kat Kt4 electronic drum kit and it worked great with it. I bought this Roland cymbal because my 12" Kat cymbal stopped working, the entrance was damaged by vibration I think, but this Roland cymbal is much better than my Kat cymbals.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Additional cymbal for Alesis DM10 mkii

I have "Gibraltar SC-CMBAC Medium Cymbal Boom Attachment Clamp" and "Hosa STP-203 1/4" TRS to Dual 1/4" TS Insert Cable , 3 meters " to separate the edge of tom 4 and make an additional pool out of it. It came with a hi-hat clutch and cymbal mount so I didn't have to buy anything. ok/still moving If I need to change my Alesis cymbals, I'll probably go for the Roland CY-12.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Frequency

Tight but sensitive

Very tight but very sensitive. This one has a metal lining on the lower belly to give it a heavy feel (black bottom, not white but also with V-Drum logo on the bottom). Works great with my Alesis Brain and my Rock Band Ion Drum Rocker controller. This is currently the most expensive item in my set and I would like to purchase it sooner. Included are two stereo cables, a bolt-on rocker (to attach your current cymbal arm), a felt pad for the top, and a cheap top cap with a screw (I used what Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • I'm worried

Arrived Not New - Drums and Percussion

Apparently the package was opened and returned early despite claiming it was in new condition. The box was torn, the plastic bags were out of place and there were a few dents on the plate. This should have reduced the price by $25-35. I am using a cymbal with an Alesis DM10 MKii Pro Kit to replace a dead 14" cymbal. I would buy a 14" Roland if it wasn't so expensive. I like Roland Cymbal more than Alesis, but not much. I will likely replace other parts with Roland over time as they wear out.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Not bad but...
