Soft and adjustable

I used this on my dad's arms. He had a stroke, so opening his hands helps him. The inner padding is very soft and the finger loops are adjustable. I have both a right hand guard and a left hand guard.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons

It's worth it! - Braces for hands and wrists

I like that very much. I was a bit hesitant because I wasn't sure about the quality. That worry is over! It's well done. The material is soft. I hand wash them and then let them air dry. I definitely recommend it.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Bad instructions

Great for Stroke Victims

I took these on the recommendation of a nurse. My grandmother had a stroke a few years ago and the fingers of her left hand are completely closed without holding anything. It's very soft and comfortable. I shortened the velcro so it's not so long and she wears it day and night.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Some Cons

Ideal for small women's hands

Perfect for sleeping. It prevents me from pinching my fingers. The trigger finger deteriorated while recovering from de Quervain's release surgery. This works great for me. I tried the Posey 6560 Finger Contracture Pad but it's too big for my small female hand.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Well done but difficult to use.

I bought these for a family member who has hand contractures. Medical staff will not use them on a resident as they are too difficult to use. A family member screams in pain trying to put them on his hands. That's a waste of money for me. I cannot return them as I have already written their name on the straps.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • poorly thought out

It's Soft - Medical Supplies and Equipment

It gets the job done! Mom's hands are clenched. She has Parkinson's disease and her hands are clenched. One side shrinks without expanding again. Another will do the same. At night we put on this finger separator and it does the job! She's ready to get rid of it in the morning, but her hand stays strong all day. It's worth it. I like that the velcro can be tightened on the pinky.

Pros
  • Made from closed cell foam, lined with soft Sherpa fabric for maximum comfort and support for hours
Cons
  • Easily torn

High quality material, pre-folded and sewn.

I like these but they are folded. I wish they were flat so they could be bent the way they should be, it's nice and stiff so shoving it under my mother-in-law's arm wasn't easy. Because they are preformed. But as they say, it's quality stuff and it works as soon as you install it. I'll order more and maybe try to adjust the stitching to make it easier to work on site. Her arm is VERY shortened.

Pros
  • Left handed gloves for a more comfortable custom fit
Cons
  • Some bugs

Not effective for palm protection

I use this palm protector due to left side spasticity and night time fingers clenching that side. It's soft, easy to use and comfortable. However, it is not designed to control finger spasms. I often wake up with my fingers slipping off my palm which is supposed to prevent this. I can't make any adjustments that fix this problem. I don't know if different hand sizes will have the same difficulties. My hands are medium sized.

Pros
  • Comfortable left hand palm protector prevents finger contractures and palm skin damage
