It's a cute dress but not exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a thicker/stiffer material, while this dress is a very soft, loose fabric so it has a natural drape rather than a structured one. It's still sweet and very runny. The material seems to be of good quality, not very thick.

I'm a size L, I'm 5ft 3in, 180lbs, sits very comfortably in the waist, mid-thigh (but I suggest shorts for women with big hips/buttocks because the curve in them exposes enough) . I use this as part of a costume so my standards were already low but there are many oddities in this dress. To be honest I can't imagine anyone wearing it other than in a suit. The material isn't as pretty or flattering as casual wear, it says 100% cotton but feels like cheap spandex or whatever suits usually go with it. UPDATE: I recently purchased a yellow dress (my original review was for a black dress). I encountered the same problem - the buttons fell off the second time I put them on.
