REPLACEMENT TUBE PERFECT FIT

There are two problems with these tubes: 1) The white end caps do not fit the tubes. When I tried to remove the protective cover from the pins on a pipe, the end cap came with it. Luckily the wiring wasn't damaged. I pressed the end cap again and the light still works. I held each end cap very gently while removing the remaining pin guards. 2) The bigger problem (and reason for the 2 stars) is that these tubes are 3/16 inch (5mm) shorter than the original tubes they replaced. Not designed for ceiling lights - check tombstone orientation before ordering

Unlike 360 degree fluorescent lights, LED lights only emit light in one direction. These lights shine "out of the way" of the light body in the same direction as the "headstone" attachments pointing away from the light body and have no rotating ends. This means that if you mount your lights in ceiling or "recessed" fixtures like in my picture, the light will shine directly at you or into the fixture (poorly). Works well, but the installation is not for beginners.

I agree with MKay's detailed review of June 11, 2020, but I need to expand his/her comments on the installation. As MKay said, if you don't know what a wire nut is, have an electrician modify your light fixture. When you've successfully completed some basic electrical work around the house and feel comfortable doing it, simply take your time and study the wiring inside your light fixture until you know exactly which wires to cut and how the 'tombstone' -Sockets are powered.
