    Not fully compatible with Irrigator

    Only works properly with Irrigator at very low pressure (2 or so). At higher pressure levels, the stop button will stick in the OFF position when pressed. After switching off the irrigator, it takes about 3 hours for the pressure to release the button. I've tried to remind myself to release the pressure before I press the button but I keep forgetting and get a bunch of crap. It just doesn't work, so I'll spend the extra $4 on a genuine product.

    Poor Dental Floss Substitute Power Dental Flossers

    The original handle had an on/off valve that could be turned OFF. It has a button that you have to hold down to stop the water flow. It's annoying and a lot less convenient. The original hose spool retracts neatly into a cavity in the base when the unit is not in use. The spool on the replacement does not wind up cleanly. Too bad I didn't order the right replacement from WaterPic.

    #Fail Dental Floss & Toothpick

    -1 star for something that doesn't fit in the WP-660's holder. This is a different shape. - 1 star for using an instant wand switch - press to stop. If not for on/off, it would be better to use the press. EDIT: The two design flaws together mean that when the wand falls off the stand, it leaks everywhere. Also, she now has a real leak where the hose meets the wand. . Garbage. Let's see if I can get a real replacement.

    Easy to install, works well.

    Installation was fairly easy and fit like an original part. The original pen had an on/off slider instead of a "press to power" button (perhaps this is a feature of the 660?) Works well. The hose appears to be the same plastic as the original. I took a couple of containers to remove the plastic smell from the water but everything was fine after that. I am happy with the purchase.

    Easy to install literally seconds

    This was the job to fix my aerator. It was simple and light, obviously the part that would eventually fail as it is flexible plastic tubing and this is the part of the Irrigator that is used the most in normal use. I have already removed the defective part. The new one has found its place and is back in business. Better than buying new, although I did that too because I wanted a tank with a larger tank.

    Low water consumption; inappropriate hose replacement

    Although I've seen low water flow in other reviews I bought this hose anyway rather than buying a Water Pik replacement just because the hose broke. (Water Peak no longer seems to offer their own replacement hoses - planned obsolescence?) Other reviews seem correct: poor water flow, plus the handle doesn't hold the tip tight enough to rotate the tip. Instead I have to rotate the entire crank (resulting in even faster hose wear/failure. I suppose I'll have to go for plan B: buy a brand new…

    Inexpensive, easy to assemble, but...

    I was very happy about this spare part. It was cheap and very easy to install, but the water pressure isn't like the original. Which, when you think about it, doesn't really matter to a flosser. It also works a little differently. You press and hold the button to reduce the water flow versus a switch that shuts off the water completely. Got used to it after sterilizing the bathroom a few times, but this is different. Overall you get what you pay for.

    Useless junk is good for oral care

    Worked well enough for about 2 weeks. It doesn't have a normal on/off switch like the factory original. Instead, it has a button that shuts off the water flow if you press it while holding it down. Otherwise it is activated. Well after using it for a couple of weeks the button didn't pop up when you let go. Now it's off all the time. Useless.

    Better than the original!

    The button on the handle that shuts off the water flow works and is easier to press than the original. I doubt it will get stuck in the stowed position like the old one did as it got older. The hose is now more flexible which means less tension in use, it will curl up and fit into storage exactly as it should. The old nibs fit perfectly on the pen. It is easy to install with a Phillips screwdriver. I'm so glad I didn't have to buy a brand new device!

    Easy to install but on/off switch is different from factory version

    WaterPik WP-660C You are done there is an on/off switch on the factory handle that you move up and down. With this replacement, the hose will start spraying as soon as you turn on the machine. It can only be turned off by pressing the button on the handle OR by turning off the machine. From a human factor point of view, this is not so intuitive. But it's functionally equivalent. This is a good inexpensive replacement with less functionality.
