Very soft leather. The sole is very different from what I expected. I removed the insoles and replaced them with my flat green Spenco insoles so I could use my Birkenstock insoles as my high arch means I can't wear shoes without insoles. Perfect Fit. good view A great feeling. They seem well made when I look at my new pair. I already have a couple of old Ropers in a slightly different style and they have served me well for a number of years now. I also look forward to wearing them for a long time to come. They look great with jeans of any color, khakis or long pants.

Tried to replace my old Roper shoes. Local shops wore the new style. I found this image on Revain and thought I was lucky. Of course there is a new style. I know I could return it but the shoes are really comfortable and I'm getting used to the new style.
