I can't imagine why anyone would give these rings 4 or 5 stars. They're better than other brands I've tried and maybe better than most of the pictures I see online simply because the shape helps them look more like metal. I wouldn't advise going with straight sided rings. I think the 6mm width is more suitable for most people than the wider 8 and 9mm found in most of them, but the thinner 1.8mm thickness is too thin, making it more like a rubber band while another brand I tried had no effect at
