Description of Enhance Typing Experience: Rosewill Mechanical Keyboard Rubber O-Rings, 120 pcs - RO-100T, O Ring

DURABLE MATERIAL: These rubber O-rings are resistant to cracking and tearing, lasting you numerous gaming and typing sessions. REDUCE EXTRA NOISE: Cut away the extra taps with these keyboard dampeners. Only hear consistent and quieter mechanical clicking sounds. BETTER TYPING FEEDBACK: Keyboard rings reduce travel of switches and improve actuation speed of each key press for quicker response and feedback. LESS FINGER FATIGUE: During typing and gameplay, O-ring switch dampeners create a softer landing for better shock absorption, overall reducing finger fatigue. EASY INSTALLATION: Simply remove keyboard key, place O-ring onto stem of keycap, then re-install key onto keyboard and press down firmly to fully set the O-ring.

Great product for mechanical keyboards

First impressions are that this o-ring set is great and just what I was looking for to quiet down the Corsair K95 RGB mechanical keyboard with cherry switches - 122 keys. However, single-mount keys are very quiet, which is due to the way my particular keyboard is set up - multi-mount keys like spacebar, enter, return, num 0, etc. are still a bit noisy. This is due to the plastic fasteners on the keyboard itself. All the keys are actually much quieter. To install them, I recommend sliding the…

They work Electronics

I installed them (with some pain) on my old and trusty Rosewill keyboard (blue switches). Using this keyboard was a problem during a conference call. Even if the clicks are still as pleasant as before, the floor noise has been significantly reduced. A shorter key drop doesn't bother me (it takes some getting used to). The quality of these rings is very good. The key removal tool is fine. I wish the keyboard itself was easier to manipulate for this process - the wider keys, which use wire…

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Annoys

Due to the low profile design of Cherry MX Speed Switches, the o-rings don't do anything for them because the o-rings (under attached to the keycaps) never come into contact with the switch body. Even when the switch is fully depressed, there remains such a large gap between the bottom of the keycap and the switch body that the O-ring cannot travel that distance even when half-folded. The keycaps are inside the switches, not on the switch bodies. They worked on my K68 with standard height…

Removes the bottom tone and makes the bottom tone more comfortable.

I purchased this set to use with the PBT double shot keycaps on my Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard. Now this keyboard is pretty cool when available. And it's great to put the best keycaps on it. But these things make a deal. In short, they work great with any keyboard. They keep key travel about the same, but they also do a really good job of reducing noise when you press a key from below. And on my keyboard, which uses click keys, it's a godsend. I heard clicks from the actuation, with no noise,

Easy installation and quieter typing.

I installed dampers with clear o-rings on a Logitech G610 with Brown Cherry switches. The installation is very easy. Remove the key, attach the damper to the key, and then put the key back on the keyboard. The Logitech G610 has white LEDs under the keycaps. The O-rings are transparent enough to let light through and illuminate the button. The o-ring dims the light a bit, but as far as I can tell it's not enough for me to complain. so i don't have to press the keyboard while typing. They do…

Quieter but I was hoping for more

They work as advertised but I was hoping the noise reduction would be more noticeable. My work colleague is happy about fewer clicks when I type. The number of O-rings was about right. I have 6 left with my standard 10 key keyboard. For keys with stabilizers, I put an o-ring on each key pin. I have an RGB backlit keyboard (Corsair K70) and the pure color of the o-rings doesn't seem to prevent the key label from lighting up. So that's good. It would be nice if there was a small plastic tool to…
